Current Bracelet obsessions

Hey there! Long time, no speak. How have you been?!!! Hehehe well this post is a little different to the usual make up orientated ones that I write (when I even write them) but I have been so in love with my arm candy lately, that I thought I would share.
Now I have work at many jewellers from chain owned ones to branded and independent family run business and it wasn't until I left my now current Jewellers in the begging of this year to go back to sea, that I discovered the love of bracelets that was hiding inside me! I have only ever really worn my Tiffany Anchor necklace, which was  a 21st birthday present and my Tag Heuer watch also a 21st birthday present. I always flirted with costume jewellery but would buy it wear it once and then it sits in a draw. But recently I can't stop loving mixing up my bracelets and getting paid in jewellery basically!
So I felt the need to share this with someone! Plus it might help you re think how you wear any of your pieces!
Right arm...
Right so yes I know it's ALOT but I love it, I love the colours the mixtures the textures and strangely I love the feel and the weight! Here, from top to bottom, we have a Thomas Sabo Black Onyx Friendship Bracelet with the Thomas Sabo charms "cloud" and "lightening". Secondly a Sapphire single Candy Bling Friendship Bracelet. Thirdly the Quartz Friendship Bracelet with the "beauty" charm which has a little lippie, perfume and heart that say's beauty junkie on it plus a 3 keys charm. Final two bracelets are also by Candy Bling and are the 3 Red and full white crystal Friendship Bracelets.
Left arm...
A bit less on this arm (thankfully) starting from the top my "return to Tiffany's" oval trigger clasp silver bracelet, My Tag Heuer watch if anyone wants to know is an Aquaracer with white mother of pearl face and diamond number dots. and sapphire crystal glass  Second bracelet is my Lovelinks classic charm bracelet with a red themed selection of charms. Then finally my silver Pandora which was my treat to myself on my last trip away at sea.
If you want more detail for the charm bracelets then let me know and I can detail the charms and photograph them a bit better individually!
All in all I love all my bracelets and considering I never used to wear any its crazy to think this is normal for me know. But at least working in a jewellers I can give the best advice for cleaning and maintain the branded items like these.
Tell me what your favourite's are and what you like to wear! I'd love to know as it will probably inspire me to get more! (not really needed) ciao for now! xoxox

Inglot Palette number three - Swatches

The penultimate palette for you to see, this is my go to palette if i'm not awake enough to think about what I want to wear!

Palette number three in all its neutral glory!
 Left to Right: 350M, 349M, 342M, 337M, 461DS
 Left to Right: 357M, 360M, 363M, 402P, 31AMC

  Left to Right: 365DS, 327M, 326M, 329M, 420P
The 420P I already have in one of the other palettes, I wasn't meant to swatch it but I was being dumb! This is what happens when you go to buy more eyeshadows but don't take a list of what you have so realistically I should give this one away and replace it from their site if you think this is a good idea let me know!

Inglot Palette number two - Swatches

Back again for round number 2, I hope you liked the first selection so lets get straight on into to my pinks and purples palette!

This is the whole palette - pretty huh!
Left to right: 50AMC, 495DS, 449P, 48AMC, 359M
Left to right: 375M, 320M, 334M, 346M, 440P
Left to right: 494DS, 74AMC, 39AMC, 441P, 429P,
Left to right: 73AMC, 75AMC, 67AMC, 388M, 68AMC

Some of these colours are so pretty, I love to wear bright eyeshadows everyday if I can. Best way to make any bright wearable is to work a matte brown shade into you outer corner and crease. It doesn't have to be massively bold as long as you blend it well its will tone down enough of the bright shadow to make it more day time friendly!

Inglot Palette number one - Swatches

Hello ladies and lads (if any read this blog) I just thought I would do something simple tonight and that is a to help anyone who is looking to purchase any of the Inglot shadows int he freedom system as they are available online at www.inglotuk.com

Now I bought my first palette of 10 eyeshadows in 2009 from Westfield in London and I fell in love with them the second I used them! This was when the palettes of 10 cost around £35 as far as I remember. I was able to get Pro discount and it made the palettes £28!!! OMG £2.80 per shadow I was so happy and said to myself that's it no more MAC shadows for me!

However they decided to do the price hike in January 2010 for IMATS which is where I was intending to pick up several more palettes but didn't as this made them far to pricey! So It was only when I got the chance to go to New York on ship this year that I was able to pick up 70 more eyeshadows (yes excessive I know but I do love them) that I was able to build up my collection to what it is now. SO to help those of you who are wanting to buy off the website I thought I would swatch what I owned and make it a little bit easier to see the true colours on skin than what they have on the website. Now the 10 pan palettes are £53 once you have added the shadows at £4 x 10 and the cost of the palette at £8 so your looking at £5.30 per shadow which isn't bad I mean it's a lot less than MAC or Clinique for example even most "drugstore" brand are around the £5 mark for a single shadow!

Right let me get on with it.... enjoy the mini swatch fest!
This is the whole palette, unfortunately I have been using most of these shadows for a while so the picture shows all the brush and finger marks in them! Sorry about that!
 Left to right 387M, 324M, 419P, 459DS, 422P
 Left to right 420P, 444P, 500DS, 23AMC, 63AMC
 Left to right 426P, 428P, 483DS, 498DS, 62AMC
Left to right 24AMC, 33AMC, 32AMC, 480DS, 70AMC

I hope that helps :)

Sleek Make Up Nude collection Au Naturel Palette

Hello there!
Yes, I know, another Sleek blog post but I am just in love with their palette's at the moment and I just want to share that with you! This is a beautiful nude palette, which is for once going to be part of their permanent line so need to rush out and buy it! But I would say it's a very pretty palette and is worth getting especially if you are a nude lover when it comes to eye shadows. This could be a great handbag staple, something to keep in your bag, if you have a giant handbag like I do, which will be forever useful if you need to touch up or smoke it out for the evening. It was released on August 31st if I remember rightly but I managed to pick it up the day before in Portsmouth Superdrug. Not sure if they were meant to put it out early but I am happy they did as my local Superdrug doesn't actually stock Sleek. Much to my disappointment.

Colours:
Top: Nougat, Nubuck, Cappuccino
Bottom: Conker, Moss, Bark

Colours:
Top: Honeycomb, Toast, Taupe
Bottom: Mineral Earth, Regal, Noir

Hope you enjoyed the post and it's pictures. I think I shall wear this palette tomorrow and see what I come up with :)

Sleek goodies!

Hello there blog readers!
Sorry it's been an age but life and all that has gotten in the way, but I plan to do as many posts as I can. I would like to say one a day but I am not promising anything as I don't like to disappoint!
Well I recently went a little bit crazy and purchased several Sleek make up products! Annoyingly (I really meaning fabulously) I was sent a 50% off voucher for not being able to take part in when they had their massive 50% off the whole site sale which caused massive server crashes and orders going awol!
Anyway I thought I would share with you what I got. I haven't done any swatches as I wanted to take the nice photo's first, If you would like to see swatches on my posts please let me know :)

Pout Polish in Pink Cadillac £4.30
This smell so yummy and tastes so good, give you a subtle wash of colour safe enough to put on with out a mirror but bright enough to look like you have colour on not just balm.
Pout paints in Pin up,Peachy Keen, Minx, Milkshake and Pinkini £4.99
Colours from Top to Bottom: Pin up, Pinkini, Minx, Milkshake and Peachy Keen.
These are really nice to apply they take a bit of practice and a decent brush. I found an angular eyeliner one to be most useful but what you can do is use a cotton bud to smudge out the lip line for a more soft everyday look. They aren't drying dry to a nice matte finish I can't wait to play with these and see what colour combinations you can make! Plus for the bargain prices all these products are a great new addition to a make up bag or handbag for that matter!
Overall I have loved everything I have bought from Sleek, their palettes are just so brilliant for on the go make up and the massive mirror makes it easy to do anything in it. I even did a full face of make up with just this mirror and palette for the eyes I also had no brushes so don't scoff at the sponge on a stick thing you get with them if needs must they get the job done... Oh I did it whilst I was on the train too and then wore it all night until 4am!!! :)

The Clarisonic PLUS

So I had looked into the Clarisonic system when at home but in the UK the price is jacked up so much that I had never really thought it was worth the money but since coming over to the Caribbean and finding Clarisonic in Sephora I was drawn back to it again. Unfortunately when I have a bad day onboard I generally make it better by shopping ashore! Not the best way of solving problems but hey!
So after much deliberation I decided to purchase the Clarisonic Plus for face and body in Pink of course I always take the opportunity to support Breast Cancer whenever I can.

Right so this is what the box says….

The Clarisonic PLUS offers three speeds for face, plus a body needing extra attention. Clarionic removes 6 times more make up than normal cleansing alone.
Benefits:

  • Clears pores and reduces appearance of pore size
  • Cleanses so effectively that skin care products are absorbed better
  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Helps reduce oily areas, dry patches and blemishes
  • Remarkably gentle for cleansing all skin types even sensitive conditions such as rosacea and acne
I purchased mine around the second week of March so I have been using it everyday for about 2 months now. Right so let me go through the claimed benefits and tell you what I have experienced so far. Pore size, now as far as I am aware you can reduce the appearance of pores but never actually change the size of your pores, unfortunately you have to live with what you’ve got. However I have found that around my problem areas, such as my nose and chin, the pores appear smaller but I think that’s more to do with them being better cleansed. A pore will look larger if it is clogged ergo better cleansing means less debris on your skin and therefore better looking skin.

Absorbing skin care products more efficiently. Now this is what I have noticed more than anything. I have sensitive dry skin with an oily forehead thanks to a 4 month treatment of Roaccutane for bad acne. Since using the Clarisonic my skins ability to absorb products has meant that I need to apply less products throughout the day. My skin has never felt more hydrated. Its all well and good spending all the money we do on expensive products but if your skin isn’t absorbing them to the best of its ability then they are kind of going to waste. So instead of waking up and thinking god I look awful I actually think hummm I look ok for once!

Fine lines and wrinkles, now I can’t really comment on this, as I haven’t as of yet had to worry about such problems. However I think if your skin is able to get the benefits of the products you use and is better moisturised then it should at least help the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Like I said before I had random skin and using this system has helped balance everything, which is brilliant. My forehead is less oily, dry patches have been reduced and generally there is more unity across my skin. I have noticed a big change in the effects of using the Clarisonic with regards to monthly blemishes. I still get the odd breakout but its more one or so here and there than a whole area driving me to eat more chocolate or drink wine to make me feel better. So to be honest it has done wonders and has helped me feel happier in my own skin, which for me to say is a big thing!!

It is defiantly gentle, it feels very refreshing and it makes it a pleasure to use in the morning to wake up and before bed to feel super clean before sleep. Plus it’s a great way to time how long you leave you hair conditioner in for. Random I know but use it in the shower after putting your conditioner then by the time your face is clean its time to rinse!!!

Let me know if you have used a Clarisonic and how you like it or if you have any questions about my experience!

My New Venture...

Hello there travelling and beauty peeps,
I just wanted to put a quick post up, I know it's been a very long time since I've posted anything but this is kind of interesting. I am about to embark on a new venture with a new company Princess cruises. This job has been a long time in the making and finally its here. I have just spent two weeks in Amsterdam doing NACOS/ECDIS and BTCC courses which I know will mean NOTHING to you all but hey you might be interested. It was alright just got to play with ship simulators basically.
So I will be joining the Caribbean Princess in San Juan on the 27th Feb. I super excited and super super nervous too! My aim though is to blog as I travel as much as I can. Not too sure of the Internet access and cost on board but given we're in port so much there's always Starbucks!!! Hopefully I will have interesting stories and beauty find to share with you. Over the next few days I'm going to try and blog each day with travel/packing post's which may be useful to you even if your just going on a holiday!

Wish me luck :)
